China Drying Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully developed a new catalytic cracking naphtha hydrogenation catalyst developed by the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute, and successfully used the company's 120,000 tons/year catalytic cracking naphtha hydrogenation unit. The results of one month of industrial application show that the device operates stably, the catalyst fully meets the requirements of the industrial device, and for the first time, the industrialization of catalytic cracking naphtha hydrogenation is realized.
Up to now, the two-stage hydrogenation unit has run smoothly. The hydrogenation product bromine price is less than 0.5 gram bromine/100 gram oil, and the sulfur content is less than 1.0×10-6, which is in line with the design specifications of the equipment and fully meets the requirements for aromatic hydrocarbon extraction. This shows that CNPC has fully mastered the catalytic cracking naphtha hydrogenation technology and paved the way for the hydrogenation and utilization of catalytic cracking naphtha in China.
In April of this year, Shenyang Waxing established the first catalytic cracking naphtha hydrogenation unit in China. After that, both parties carried out catalyst loading and two-stage catalyst reduction and sulfidation treatment. On June 29, industrial equipment was put into operation and the drive was successful once.
It is understood that as early as August 2010, researchers from the Petrochemical Research Institute visited Shenyang several times and conducted technical exchanges on the feasibility of extracting aromatics from hydrogenation of 120,000 tons/year catalytic cracking naphtha in Shenyang wax. According to the composition of the raw materials provided by the manufacturer, the researchers proposed a two-stage hydrogenation program using palladium and cobalt molybdenum catalysts to remove diene, monoene and sulfur, respectively. The program has been highly recognized by manufacturers. Since then, researchers from the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Research Institute have further improved the two-stage hydrogenation scheme for cracked naphtha through systematic analysis of 3 kg of catalytic cracking naphtha provided by Shenyang Waxing, and at the same time, through repeated communication and exchanges between the two sides, at the end of the year, The Petrochemical Institute proposed two stages of hydrogenation catalysts and process technologies. Shenyang Waxification entrusted relevant units with the design of two hydrogenation units.
