Pirelli Tire plans to invest EUR 101 million (about US$ 123 million) in upgrading equipment at its Voronezh tire plant in Russia to achieve its goal of producing Pirelli tyres at the plant in 2014.
Recently, General Manager Pirelli Tires (Russia) and Carlo Costa, Chief Purchasing Officer of Pirelli SpA, met with Voronezh Governor Alexey Gordeyev. Both parties invested in the company's investment in Voronezh. Talk about related issues.
During the talks, Costa mentioned that Pirelli will produce Pirelli tyres at the Voronezh plant in 2014. For this purpose, the company will invest in the plant in the region to upgrade the relevant equipment. Costa also stated that Pirelli plans to migrate its distribution center in Moscow to Voronezh in September this year.
Governor Gorjeyev stated that the Voronezh State Government will give full support and assistance to the project, including the implementation of the project’s investment funds.
