The monitoring projects were 锶-90 and 铯-137.
It is understood that yttrium-90 is one of the fission products of uranium, with a half-life of 28 years, generally from nuclear explosions or nuclear fuel products.锶-90 is a highly toxic nuclear species that accumulates mainly in bone and is difficult to excrete. Strontium-137 is a kind of heavy metal with strong radioactivity. If the human body intake exceeds a certain value, it will lead to hematopoietic and nervous system damage, abnormal birth and even sterilization, and even cause death.
Up to now, environmental monitoring personnel have completed the collection of samples and have been delivered to the municipal environmental monitoring center station laboratory as required. The testing and analysis personnel will perform pretreatment steps such as drying, grinding, carbonization, and ashing to reach and comply with the national requirements. After the analysis of standards, radiochemical analysis and instrument analysis are performed. The analysis results will be reported directly to the Environmental Monitoring Technology Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
In the next step, marine bio-irradiation monitoring will be implemented regularly as a routine monitoring task for environmental protection in Qingdao, and through the long-term accumulation of basic data, the level of bio-irradiation changes in the coastal city's coastal waters will be more accurately analyzed and reflected.
