Shell to Receive 26% of LNG Terminal Project in India

On January 15, Shell, French Gas, and GAIL signed an agreement to purchase LNG from this project.

The partner conceived this 3.5-million-ton/year Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in 2012. The official said that the partner has so far not made a decision on whether to lease or purchase FSRU.

Shell signed an agreement with Prudential Power India in 2012 to build an LNG terminal in Andhra Pradesh. However, the Indian company withdrew from the project in 2013.
