According to Intel, the building blocks of quantum computing (that is, qubits) are quite fragile and can only operate at very low temperatures, 250 times lower than outer space, and are highly packaged and must prevent data loss. Intel's Oregon and Arizona teams found a new way to make 17-bit chips, the chip's architecture is more reliable at higher temperatures, and the RF interference between qubits is smaller. Compared with wire-bonded chips, the new chip sends and receives signals 10 to 100 times more. The design is better and can be used on larger quantum integrated circuits, which is much larger than traditional silicon chips.
