The first efficient furfural evaporation condenser goes offline
Recently, Hebei Weili Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. successfully launched and delivered the ZNXK high-efficiency evaporative condenser specifically designed for furfural condensation. This marks a significant milestone as it is China's first energy-efficient evaporative condenser tailored for this application. The product has already been well-received by customers, who are impressed by its innovative design and performance.
During the production of furfural, gases generated from hydrolysis and distillation processes must be condensed to facilitate further processing. Traditionally, column-tube condensers have been widely used for this purpose. However, these systems often suffer from high water and power consumption, along with frequent fouling issues that reduce efficiency and increase operational costs.
To address these challenges, Power Solutions developed the ZNXK high-efficiency evaporative condenser. This advanced system uses a unique heat exchange process where high-temperature furfural gas is directed into the heat exchange tubes. Cooling water is evenly sprayed over the outer surface of the tubes via a spray system, enabling efficient heat exchange between the steam inside the tubes and the cooling water and air outside. As the steam condenses, part of the cooling water evaporates, carrying away heat and moisture through the fan. The remaining water is collected in a lower tank and recycled through the system via a circulation pump.
This integrated approach combines water cooling with air cooling, enhancing both heat transfer and mass transfer efficiency. The result is a more effective and sustainable condensation process.
The ZNXK condenser offers a compact design, requiring less space than traditional systems. It consumes approximately half the power and only 1/10 of the water compared to conventional setups. Its long service life and reduced maintenance needs significantly lower operating costs. With benefits such as energy savings, water conservation, land optimization, and high efficiency, the ZNXK evaporative condenser provides substantial economic value to users.
