Explosion and fire in Bloomingdale 4-1-13

The Bloomingdale Fire Protection District (FPD) rushed to the scene of an explosion at an industrial facility in unincorporated Glendale Heights this afternoon. According to a report from *The Daily Herald*, two individuals were injured Monday morning following an explosion and fire at Northstar Metal Products Inc., a metal fabrication plant located on Mitchell Drive. Bloomingdale Deputy Fire Chief Jeffrey Janus stated that firefighters arrived at 11:56 a.m. after receiving a call about the incident.
