In fact, the Drug Buster Academy Bus is one of the features of the one-day roadshow project of Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in VivoCity, Singapore. CNB has been committed to keeping more young people away from drugs through new ways such as anti-drug show and social media platform.
CNB Media Director Gillian Ong said:
Experiencers can not only understand the dangers of drugs, but also see for themselves the harm caused by drugs.
The latest data shows that the proportion of young people under the age of 30 is increasing. Among the 729 drug addicts arrested by the CNB, 485 drug addicts were less than 30 years old, compared with 446 last year, which is an increase of 9% year-on-year.
Although the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore has taken a more open-minded attitude toward the drug problem, CNB expects to save more young people who are seduced by drugs through social media. CNB has set up accounts on well-known social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube, all using CNB Drug Free SG (no drugs in Singapore as a whole).

Most of the young people are full of curiosity. They want to know what the impact of drugs is, and our social media accounts and Drug Buster Academy Bus can make them aware of this.
“Since July this year, the anti-drug car has visited the elementary school, secondary school and craft education college five times a month, and will continue to do so for the next three months,†Ong said. “The effect we want to achieve is: If a teenager once If you come into contact with drugs, then let him use the anti-drug vehicle or social media content for a minute to understand what harm the drugs will cause him. When he next comes in contact with drugs, remember to say no!â€
