At the China Rubber Industry Association’s May 4th seminar on quality improvement and self-regulation in the tire industry, Wang Lijun, deputy director of the quality department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, revealed that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) will launch a quality improvement campaign for the tire industry this year. Tire quality responsibility and quality prosecution system, extensive use of advanced quality management methods to improve the quality of the tire industry.
Wang Lizhen said that after the Kumho tire incident was exposed, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine attached great importance to it. On the one hand, it actively responded to it. On the other hand, it hoped to make the incident an external force for improving the quality of the tire industry, thus comprehensively improving the competitiveness of the tire industry. . He said that the quality improvement of the tire industry will be carried out by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and industry associations. The specific methods adopted are: government advocacy, association promotion, enterprise-based, and social supervision. He emphasized that the most important thing is to use this activity to implement the first responsibility for the quality of the company.
It is understood that, in accordance with the preliminary assumptions of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the main contents of the event include: conducting a nationwide random inspection of product quality as a motivation to strengthen enterprise management; strict market access system; strict implementation of tire industry policy; establishment of a tire complaint , reporting system; encourage companies to create well-known brands, improve the quality of domestic brands tire reputation; carry out customer satisfaction survey; set a benchmark in the industry quality; promotion of advanced quality management methods; strict product recall system.
Wang Lijun said that AQSIQ will transfer the formal program of activities to the Rubber Association in the near future. The Rubber Association will widely solicit opinions from tire companies so that activities can be carried out as soon as possible. He said that the upgrading of the quality of the tire industry is an important task for the AQSIQ this year. It must be implemented in the company and ultimately achieve the desired results.
