At around noon on Monday, January 12, 2015, the Bartlett Fire Protection District in Illinois received a call about a house fire at 223 Buckingham Court. When Bartlett Engine 2 arrived on the scene around 12:30 p.m., they found significant smoke and fire on both the first and second floors. An immediate interior attack was initiated to combat the blaze. I arrived at 12:53 p.m. to find the situation had worsened, with heavy fire spreading into the attic. Fire commanders began ordering personnel out of the building for safety as the situation escalated rapidly. Bartlett Tactical Ladder 3 was deployed to tackle the intense flames in the attic. It took roughly an hour to bring the fire under control.
