PCBWay Fabrication Toolkit for Kicad

PCBWay has recently introduced a new plugin called the PCBWay Fabrication Toolkit for KiCad. This powerful tool allows users to automatically generate four essential files with just one click: Gerber files, IPC-Netlist files, BOM files, and Pick and Place files. By streamlining this process, it significantly enhances the efficiency of pre-production tasks, saving time and reducing potential errors.

Installation from the Official KiCad Repositories

Once installed, the plugin enables users to easily export BOM files and centroid files directly from their design layout. This makes it much simpler to prepare your project for manufacturing.

Process Demonstration:

After exporting the required files, you can send them to PCBWay. Our team will review them before proceeding with production, ensuring everything is accurate and ready for manufacturing.

Important Note: If you're placing a patch order, make sure to include the MPN (Manufacturer Part Number) in your design file. This helps our quoting team locate the exact components you need more efficiently.

Manual Installation

In addition to the official installation method, you can also manually install the latest version of the PCBWay Fabrication Toolkit by downloading the ZIP file from the following link: https://github.com/pcbway/PCBWay-Fabrication-Toolkit-for-KiCad.

To install it, open the "Plugin and Content Manager" from the main window of KiCad and choose "Install from File" to upload the ZIP package.
