Chicago 2-11, Level 2 Haz-Mat, & EMS Plan 1, 12-2-2014 (more)

I just got some images from Tim Olk at this gas explosion that happened on 107th Place back on December 2, 2014. It was quite a scene! I’ll attach a few photos so you can see the extent of the damage. First off, here’s one that really captures the intensity of the explosion. You can see how it completely destroyed the house. The force was incredible. This is a photo taken by Tim Olk. ![Tim Olk photo](#) In another shot, the aftermath shows just how extensive the destruction was. Pieces of the structure are scattered everywhere, and you can see the power of the blast in the debris field. This is also a Tim Olk photo. ![Tim Olk photo](#) There’s a different angle here that gives a better view of the damage to the surrounding area. The explosion didn’t just affect the house—it impacted everything nearby. Again, this is another image captured by Tim Olk. ![Tim Olk photo](#) Another photo focuses more on the structural elements that remained after the explosion. Even though the house was basically gone, there are still some pieces of the foundation and walls visible. This is yet another Tim Olk photo. ![Tim Olk photo](#) This next picture highlights the chaos and confusion immediately following the incident. Emergency responders were on the scene quickly, but the damage was overwhelming. As usual, Tim Olk managed to capture this crucial moment. ![Tim Olk photo](#) Here’s another angle that shows the house from a slightly different perspective. The explosion left nothing untouched, and you can see how the entire structure collapsed inward. This is yet another great shot by Tim Olk. ![Tim Olk photo](#) One more photo from Tim Olk gives a broader view of the neighborhood. While this particular house was severely damaged, the explosion didn’t impact all the neighboring homes, but the shockwave was clearly felt throughout the area. ![Tim Olk photo](#) Finally, here’s one last image that really drives home the scale of the disaster. The house was essentially obliterated, leaving only remnants behind. This final photo was also taken by Tim Olk. ![Tim Olk photo](#) It’s always tough to see incidents like this happen, especially when it seems preventable with proper safety measures. I hope the residents affected find some peace moving forward, even if rebuilding will take time and effort. These photos really tell the story of what happened that day.
