1. Application Pipe magnetic separator is used to remove ferromagnetic impurities such as sizing agent, flakes, and granular materials. It's widely applied in industries like ceramics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and more.
2. How it Works:
The pipe magnetic separator is made of stainless steel tubes and high B value NdFeB rare earth magnets. It is designed with a framework of high-quality stainless steel sheets and magnetic rods. It can be installed using flanges on production lines or at discharge ports. When the material passes through, iron particles are attracted to the magnetic bars and stick to the walls, ensuring product and equipment safety.

How Do Magnetic Bars Work? How Are They Constructed?
A typical magnetic bar construction is shown. The 304 stainless steel tube contains an assembly of magnets and steel washers (or pole pieces). Most grates are made with non-magnetic stainless steel tubes containing internal magnets. These are sealed with welding to prevent contamination.
The magnets inside the tube are usually arranged in a row, often with ring magnets mounted on a shaft. The magnetization direction alternates between each magnet to create a strong magnetic field around the assembly. This setup can produce over 10,000 gauss, even up to 12,000 gauss!
This configuration allows the magnetic field to extend as far out as possible, capturing ferromagnetic particles from a wide area. Unlike diamagnetic magnets that are strongest at two points, this setup provides consistent strength around the entire cylinder.
The force on small iron particles depends on both the field strength and the gradient. The gradient refers to how much the field changes with distance from the magnet. Near the pole pieces, the hold is especially strong, even for tiny iron or steel particles.
Why are they constructed this way? Because this method maximizes the magnetic field strength and effectiveness, making it ideal for various industrial applications.
