Schererville responded to a fire at El Salto, located at the intersection of US-30 and US-41 on September 13th, 2018. A full-scale fire was reported, and both Lake Hills and St. John fire departments provided assistance. One notable detail was the presence of a Roto-Ray on the Lake Hills engine — something quite rare to see in this area.
