Late on Sunday evening, an abandoned industrial facility sat idle and dilapidated. A trash-type fire had broken out deep inside the structure, creating dense smoke conditions that made it extremely hazardous for firefighters to operate within. It took several hours to get the situation under control. The crews relied heavily on search lines and thermal imaging cameras (TICs) to navigate safely. From the outside, there wasn’t much visible activity, but the varying shades of smoke suggested the complexity of the situation.
