The reporter learned from the Economic Commission of Shizuishan City yesterday that the construction of a 2,000-a-year heavy-duty vehicle project in cooperation with China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. has progressed smoothly. The first batch of vehicles will go offline on September 21.
Ningxia Northwest Coal Mine Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a state-owned large-scale backbone enterprise with all kinds of welding, forging, heat treatment, processing, and testing capabilities. It has various types of professional and technical talents and skilled industrial workers, and has formed a strong mechanical processing capability. In order to further develop the capability of the machining industry, Shizuishan City actively negotiated negotiations with China National Heavy Duty Truck and eventually promoted the cooperation between Ningxia Northwest Coal Machinery Company and China National Heavy Duty Truck and established China National Heavy Duty Truck Shizuishan Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. to actively develop automobile production projects. The project will invest more than 38 million yuan in the first phase, with an annual output of 2,000 heavy-duty vehicles.
Since the beginning of this year, the Ningxia Northwest Coal Machinery Company has reconstructed the plant and production line to carry out component production and vehicle assembly work. It is reported that the first batch of heavy-duty vehicles for the Steyr series.
It is reported that over the past 49 years since the autonomous region was established, tractors have been produced, but cars have never been produced or assembled. Since 2006, Sinotruk, Dongfeng Motor and other companies have successively conducted strategic cooperation with companies in Ningxia, prompting Ningxia to become a member of the China Automobile Production Club.
