From what John Tulipano just shared:
A special alarm went out around 9:23 AM in the Gates area of West Chicago. The initial call reported a basement fire. When the units arrived, they discovered flames in the basement that had spread upward through a plumbing wall into the dormer on the second floor. Thanks to quick and coordinated efforts, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control in roughly half an hour using four handlines.
Attached are some photos from the scene.
