The Marine Dynamic Environment Laboratory completed the laboratory test of the acoustic wave tide measuring instrument

[ Instrument Network Instrument Development ] From July 22 to 23, 2019, the Marine Dynamic Environment Laboratory of the National Marine Technology Center conducted an acoustic wave tide measuring instrument developed by the Institute of Marine Instrument and Instrumentation of Shandong Academy of Sciences (referred to as “Shanyi Institute”). Test tests were carried out to test the wave performance of the device under different wave conditions, and the test reached the expected target of the R&D unit.
The R&D unit has highly recognized the testing capabilities and services of the Marine Dynamic Environment Laboratory of the National Ocean Technology Center. The next step will be to conduct on-site testing of the acoustic measuring instrument at the central offshore test site. The test was carried out in a multi-functional dynamic test pool. Using the wave-making function of the multi-purpose pool, the wave height sensor was used for real-time acquisition and analysis of the test data.
The acoustic wave tide measuring instrument developed by Shanyi is funded by the national key research and development plan project. In this test, the Longlong ADCP and the acoustic wave tide measuring instrument are placed on the bottom of the test section of the pool through the bottom frame for comparison. In the test, under the action of regular waves with different wave heights and different periods, the two sets of measuring instruments respectively collected the parameters such as wave height and wave direction in real time, and compared them with the data collected by the laboratory reference standard wave height sensor. The wave measurement of the meter under multiple wave conditions, different parameter configurations and different modes was tested and analyzed.
It is worth mentioning that this test is the support of the National Key Research and Development Program of the Marine Dynamic Environment Laboratory. It has completed the trial work of the national key R&D plan related projects and is the mid-term on-site expert inspection of the national key R&D project. Relying on the test site, it has played an important supporting role for the research and development projects supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
