In addition, Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company 30kt/a halogenated butyl rubber project and Baling Petrochemical Company, Maoming Ethylene Industry Company's SBS expansion project, Jilin Petrochemical Company's expansion of 50kt/a ethylene propylene rubber unit, and Shanxi Chemical Industry Group (joint venture) The 30kt/a hydrogenated SBS plant of CNPC has plans for the construction of a new synthetic rubber plant in Fushun, Sichuan and Daqing.

The total capacity of the above-mentioned equipment under construction and planning amounts to over 1 million tons, and the capacity of the national basic rubber equipment for synthetic rubber will also increase from 1,260kt in 2006 to 1,880-2,140kt in 2010.
