On June 28th, Nanjing Jinpu Yingsa Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd. started a 60,000-ton/year nitrile rubber project in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. This is the first Sino-foreign joint venture project in China's nitrile rubber industry.
On September 22, 2011, Jiangsu Jinpu Group and Mexico KUO Group signed a 60,000-ton/year nitrile rubber joint venture project agreement. A joint venture company was set up in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, using the advanced technology of the KUO Group, with a total investment of approximately US$110 million, and a 60,000-ton/year nitrile rubber production plant. In the first phase, a 30,000-ton/year nitrile rubber plant will be built and production is scheduled to begin at the end of 2013.
