·China and South Korea reached cooperation in the field of graphene tires

On May 17, the China-Korea (Qingdao) Graphene Industry Cooperation Forum and Project Matchmaking Meeting was held in Qingdao High-tech Zone.

From the national, Shandong Province graphene industry technology innovation alliance, local government departments, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Corporation, and nearly 100 Chinese and Korean graphene related enterprises, research and development and investment and financing institutions, participated in the meeting.

The conference was co-sponsored by Qingdao High-tech Zone Management Committee, Qingdao International Graphene Innovation Center and Korea Standard Graphene Company.

Li Yichun, secretary-general of the Li China Graphene Industry Technology Strategic Alliance, and Li Zhixun, the Korean standard graphene company, respectively introduced the development of the graphene industry in China and South Korea.

At the forum, graphene experts and entrepreneurs from China and South Korea conducted in-depth discussions on the development status of the graphene industry in the two countries, the problems and challenges they faced, and bilateral cooperation.

Domestic graphene R&D and application companies and South Korea have docked and negotiated graphene in rubber tires, super-electrical, lithium-ion batteries, composite materials, coatings and other applications, reaching nearly 10 cooperation intentions.

At the meeting, Qingdao Xinhan Standard Graphene Company held an unveiling ceremony. This is the first foreign-owned graphene enterprise to settle in the Qingdao International Graphene Innovation Center.

Korea Standard Graphene Co., Ltd. is the leader of the Korean government's graphene initiative and a professional graphene technology R&D and manufacturing company. It presented the latest graphene and downstream applications prepared at the conference.

The company holds 18 patents related to graphene and has 6 years of experience in mass production of graphene, leading the world in graphene technology.

At the meeting, Li Yichun also issued a plaque for the Korean Standard Graphene Company to become the governing unit of the alliance.

The Introduction of PCD
The PCD (Polycrystalline diamond) is a composite material, consisting of sintered diamond particles with a metallic binder. Diamond is the hardest material in absolute terms and therefore also the most resistant to abrasion. Used as a cutting tool, it has a good wear resistance, and a yield superior to traditional sharp carbide. The machined surface roughness with the PCD can reach comparable to the adjustment.

Main applications
â–²Processing of non-ferrous
â–²Aluminum alloys with high or low silicon content (pistons, engine blocks engine, wheels, carburetors, connecting rods, gear boxes, cylinders for brakes, etc.).
â–²Bronze and copper alloys (copper manifolds, engine bearings, bushings, connecting rods eyes, locations pumps etc.).
â–²Tungsten carbide (trafilatori rollers and other components sintered etc).
â–²Pieces composed of aluminum and lead, aluminum engine blocks with cast iron pipes reported
â–²Processing of non-metallic materials
â–²Very abrasive materials, such as ceramics industrial uncooked.
â–²Some fired ceramic: zirconia aluminum oxide, such as spark plugs and insulators.
â–²Glass, plastics with glass fibers, carbon fibers.
The Introduction of PCBN
PCBN has the characteristics of high thermal stability, high hardness, high wear resistance and. It`s inert to iron family element, hence PCBN is mainly used for the machining of high hardness and hard processed ferrous materials, such as d facing alloys, harden steel, pearlitic gray cast iron, high temperature alloy, high-speed steel, hard facing alloys, Ni-Cr alloy, powder metallurgy metals.
