On May 24, 2016, the super long stroke 7G80ME-C#2 host built by Dalian Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. was successfully submitted for inspection. The main engine is rated at 32,970 kW and 44,839 hp. It will be installed on the 308,000-ton crude oil wheel built by Dachuan Heavy Industry Group for Shandong Yongqiao Group. This 7G80ME-C#2 is the 1000th mainframe built by Dalian Marine Firewood. It has a milestone significance in the history of Dalian Shipyard's 30 years of construction.

Back in 1949, when the founding of the People's Republic of China was over, the shipboard manufacturing industry was even blank. However, the amount of machines at that time was still far from meeting the demand for shipbuilding, and the country had to spend a lot of foreign exchange to import marine engines.
After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, the tide of reform and opening up made the Sixth Machine Department at that time made the decision to introduce foreign advanced technology. Since 1978, Dalian Shipai has successively introduced the patents for the production of marine main engines from WARTSILA and MAN. Since then, Dalian machine builders have overcome difficulties such as imperfect management system, aging equipment, insufficient supporting capacity, and lack of talents. They have been reluctant to make up their efforts, and strive to make their own technology, process, equipment and personnel quality and advanced patent technology. Adapt to and strive to work hard on quality, efficiency, and cost management, and strive to compete with internationally advanced countries such as Japan and South Korea for opportunities to compete internationally.
Under the efforts of generation after generation, Dalian Shipyard's mainframe has gradually caught up with and synchronized with the world's advanced level, adding the most reliable power to world shipping. In 1981, the first host - 6RLA56#1 was successfully submitted; in March 1993, the cumulative machine production exceeded one million horsepower; in September 2010, the cumulative machine exceeded 10 million horsepower mark; in 2011, realized The annual output exceeded 100 units for the first time. As of May 24, 2016, a total of 1,000 marine production engines were produced, totaling 12.99 million kilowatts and 17.66 million horsepower, and the main power source for the 79.3 million gross tons. Two-thirds of these mainframes are exported by ship, and single-machine exports to Germany, Brazil, the United States, Denmark, and Vietnam are also realized. Dalian Shipai has always kept pace with the world's advanced level, and quickly provided high-quality services such as host technical support, parts replacement and maintenance through the global network, and was praised by shipowners as “a factory that can meet the highest standards”.
In recent years, the company has been committed to the introduction and development of intelligent, green and environmentally-friendly mainframes. It has successfully tested the world's first intelligent consoles such as 6S50ME-B, 6S50ME-C, 6RT-flex68D and 7RT-flex58TB. The W6X72 mainframe is equipped with a 7RT-flex84TD main engine for a 400,000-ton ore sand tank, and an ultra-long-stroke 7G80ME-C main engine for a 300,000-ton VLCC. It replaces the traditional model and promotes the history of the world diesel engine manufacturing industry. The sexual revolution has made outstanding contributions.
