Mercury-containing exhaust gas treatment technology

1. Hypochlorite solution absorption method After the mercury-containing waste gas is cooled, it enters a gas absorption tower and is absorbed by sodium hypochlorite solution to remove the mercury in the exhaust gas. The aqueous solution was prepared by using a NaClO solution having an efficiency of 50 to 70 g/L and a refined salt containing 310 g/L of sodium chloride and industrial hydrochloric acid. It contains available chlorine from 20 to 25 g/L and contains 120 to 220 g/L of NaCl. The method has simple process, easy access to raw materials, comprehensive utilization of absorption liquid, no secondary pollution, and low investment cost.

2. The activated carbon adsorption method cools the mercury-containing exhaust gas and enters a three-stage series activated carbon adsorption device for adsorption. The process is simple, the effect of mercury removal is good, and the mercury content in the tail gas after treatment is 10ug/m3. However, activated carbon cannot be regenerated and requires post-treatment.

3. Condensation-adsorption method For mercury-containing waste gas, condensation can be used for purification and recovery. However, because of the volatility of mercury, condensation alone does not allow the treated gas to meet emission standards. Therefore, the condensation method is often used as a pretreatment process for adsorption or absorption. When the condensing temperature is 20 ~ 30 °C, the purification efficiency can reach more than 98%.

4, potassium permanganate solution absorption method potassium permanganate solution has a high oxidation and reduction potential, when in contact with mercury vapor, HgO generated and complex Hg2MnO2 and settle down to achieve the purpose of purification of mercury vapor. The absorption process can be carried out in an absorption tower.
