Although the technical standards are not the same, the collective exertion of Chinese and foreign automobile companies on new energy vehicles has been ignored by many people. On November 20, on the third day of the auto show, the German Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers jointly organized the “Clean Diesel, Created Tomorrow” event in Beijing, German car brands such as BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi, Chang'an, Great Wall, etc. ZTE and other Chinese auto brands, as well as many Sino-German auto parts and oil products manufacturers focused on the status quo of the development of clean diesel, can be described as a collective "voice."

Although it was a collective “voice”, the purpose of each company was not consistent. For the development of diesel vehicles, German companies are most willing to work hard and the results are most significant. For the common goal of advancing China's development of diesel vehicles, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, the three old "homes", have stood together for the first time, hoping to "high firewood for everyone."

In addition, for autonomous auto companies represented by Changan and Brilliance, exporting to European and American markets is a necessary path for the development of enterprises. Due to the increasing share of diesel vehicles in the European and American markets, these companies must occupy a place in the European and American markets and the production of clean diesel engines is imperative.

Dr. Thomas Schlick, president of the German Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that at present, the proportion of diesel passenger cars in Germany accounted for 43% of new passenger vehicles, of which diesel cars accounted for 61% of the 1.4-2.0 litre cars. According to statistics, the sales of diesel cars in most European countries have exceeded 44% of the total sales of cars. In Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, even more than 50% of them are sold.

China’s diesel vehicles accounted for only 1.2% of the total production of 3.97 million passenger cars last year. When it comes to diesel vehicles, Chinese consumers immediately think of black smoke, odors, and noisy noise. Diesel cars, known as “fish fighting fish,” were once blocked by major cities in China. A realistic trend is that the Chinese cars that are gradually in line with the world have remained in the midst of the last century in the development of diesel vehicles.

Dr. Thomas Schlick said in an interview with reporters that due to the use of technologies such as electronic fuel injection, high pressure common rail, exhaust gas recirculation and exhaust gas aftertreatment, diesel vehicles have basically eliminated black smoke emissions. The vast majority of diesel engines in Europe have It has reached Euro IV emission standards. In addition, the average fuel consumption of vehicles equipped with new diesel engines is about 20% to 30% lower than that of ordinary gasoline vehicles.

The reporter saw the Bluetec system jointly developed by Germany's Bosch and Mercedes-Benz at the event's event. The system is a diesel exhaust after-treatment technology. Its working principle is as follows: First, particulate matter in the exhaust gas is filtered through a particle trap and a filter, and urea is injected to the exhaust pipe in the rear of the vehicle to promote ammonia in urea and automobile exhaust gas. The harmful gases react chemically to produce non-polluting nitrogen and water vapor, which ultimately reduces the effects of pollution.

In fact, some domestic automobile manufacturers have already done some work on the development of diesel vehicles. Jetta diesel vehicles have set a long-distance record of 1952 km of oil. In the city, diesel vehicles show rapid acceleration, and they have stronger power output than gasoline vehicles. At the same time, the economic performance of diesel vehicles also shows that they have higher second-hand residual values. However, diesel vehicles have not developed in China.

Industry analysts said that the current domestic advanced clean diesel purification technology is already available, but the petroleum supply sector as a commercial company lacks the power to produce clean diesel. As automotive diesel has higher requirements for sulfur, olefins, etc., petrochemical companies need to increase equipment such as desulfurization, which increases investment costs. On the one hand, diesel vehicle manufacturers believe that the lack of promotion of diesel vehicles is due to poor oil products. On the other hand, oil supply companies say that the low sales of diesel vehicles have led to high oil refining costs, which has hindered the development of clean diesel.

The same problem has also plagued other countries. Of the new vehicles in Germany in 1991, diesel vehicles accounted for only 16%. Among the new vehicles in Japan, the proportion of diesel vehicles has decreased from 5.4% in 1990 to 0.13% in 2002. However, with the improvement of diesel vehicle technology and the guidance of related policies, the sales volume of diesel vehicles is getting higher and higher.

The “Technical Policy for Prevention and Control of Diesel Vehicle Emissions” set forth by the State Environmental Protection Administration clearly states: “With the development of diesel vehicles and automotive diesel engines, the production and use of engine products with advanced technology and low pollutant emissions should not be taken. Discriminatory policies."
