Know: "Printer"

The printer is a device that uses software to control the use of non-contact methods to identify products. According to the difference between the operating principle of the printer, the printer can be divided into three types: continuous jet printer, drop-on-demand printer, and laser printer.

Continuous jet printer

(continue ink jet printer) is abbreviated as cij.

An ink jet printer is a software-controlled, non-contact inkjet marking system. It controls the internal gear pump or supplies the compressed gas from the outside of the machine to apply a certain pressure to the ink in the system, so that the ink is ejected through a tens of micrometer aperture nozzle. The crystal oscillation signal applied to the nozzle is used to split the continuous ink line to split into ink droplets with the same frequency, the same size, and a certain pitch. Then, the ink droplets are respectively charged when passing through the charging electrode, and the charged amount of the ink droplets is determined by the CPU. Control; After the detection electrode to detect the actual charge and phase of the ink drop is correct; Finally, the charged ink droplet deflection in the deflecting electrode to form the deflection field, ejected from the nozzle, respectively, hit the product surface in different locations, the formation of the required A variety of text, patterns and other logos. The ink droplets that have not been charged will enter the recovery tank and re-enter the ink circulation system inside the machine.

Because ink jets are continuous, continuous inkjet printers can use many types of inks, especially those that dries very quickly (within 1 second). Therefore, continuous inkjet coding technology is ideal for printing on non-permeable surfaces such as cans and plastics that need to be processed quickly after printing. In addition, more colorful pigment inks can also be used.

Since continuous jet printing has a relatively high jetting speed, the jet printing distance of the continuous jet printing is usually far more than the jet printing distance (generally more than 10 mm), and the jet printing quality does not decrease. The placement of the nozzles allows for a great deal of choice.

Most industrial inkjet systems use cij technology. Industrial cij printing systems can reach speeds of up to 1000 feet per minute, much faster than dod, but image quality is also lower than with dod technology. Cij For a large number of direct mail order operations, the numbering and labeling of food, beverage, pharmaceutical and beauty packaging and printing products is the best solution. It is also used for lottery ticketing and coding.

On-demand ink jet printer

(drop on demand) referred to as dod.

The industrial on-demand ink supply system nozzle is composed of a plurality of high-precision valves. When the characters are sprayed, the corresponding valve of the font is quickly opened and closed. The ink is ejected by a constant internal pressure to form characters or graphics on the surface of the movement. A digital signal produces a drop of ink on paper rather than a stream of ink. The latest dod nozzles, the color formed on the paper with a more precise collection of dots, is more similar to traditional offset printing. Therefore, in the four-color high-precision printing where the quality is the most important factor, dod is the best choice, and it can produce near-photographic quality. Dod's printing speed is between 100 and 300 feet per minute. Dod uses include wide-format printing, colorful icons for packaging, shopping-point displays, fabrics, and large-format logos. However, in the industrial packaging industry, due to the limitation of printing speed, it cannot be applied to high-speed packaging lines. Many companies are developing high-speed dod printing equipment that can be used for packaging purposes, with nearly a dozen brands in Europe alone.

On-demand inkjet technology

(drop on demand) referred to as DOD.

The printers of DOD's working principle are divided into three types: piezo ink jet technology, pressure valve ink jet technology, and thermal foam ink jet technology.

1. Piezo Inkjet Technology: Piezoelectric inkjet printers are also known as high resolution inkjet printers or high resolution inkjet printers. There are 128 or more piezo-ceramic crystals on the integrated showerhead to control the nozzle's orifice through the CPU's processing, and then output a series of electric signals to each piezoelectric crystal through the driver board, and the piezoelectric crystal is deformed. The ink is ejected from the nozzle and lands on the surface of the moving object to form a dot matrix, thereby forming text, numbers or graphics. Then, the piezoelectric crystal is restored and the new ink enters the nozzle. Because of the high density of ink dots per square centimeter, piezo technology can be used to print high quality text, complex logos, and bar codes.

2. Pressure-valve-type ink-jet technology is also called large-character ink-jet printer; nozzles are composed of 7 groups or 16 groups of high-precision smart micro-valves. When printing, characters or graphics to be printed are processed through the computer's main board, through the output board. Output a series of electrical signals to the smart miniature solenoid valve, the valve starts quickly, the ink relies on the internal constant pressure to form ink dots, the ink dots form characters or graphics on the surface of the moving inkjet print.
