Summary: In the first half of 2011, the industrial added value of enterprises above designated size increased by 14.3% year-on-year, of which, the growth rate was 14.4% in the first quarter, 14% in the second quarter, and 13.4%, 13.3%, and 15.1% in the fourth, fifth, and sixth months respectively. Among the major products, the output of microcomputer equipment increased by 27.4% year-on-year, of which laptop computers increased by 21.6%; mobile phones grew by 16.3%; color TV output grew by 0.3%, of which LCD TVs increased by 10%.

In June, the value added of light and heavy industries increased by 13.9% and 15.6% respectively year-on-year.

The growth rate of production in high-energy-consuming industries has slightly accelerated. In the first half of the year, the value-added of the six high-energy-consuming industries increased by 12.6% year-on-year, which was a 0.4% increase over the first quarter. Among them, the production and supply of electric thermal power increased by 11.2%; non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing and non-metallic mineral products increased by 12%, 9.4% and 19.1% respectively; chemical raw materials and chemicals The manufacturing industry grew by 15.1%; the petroleum processing coking and nuclear fuel processing industry grew by 9.9%.

The growth of industrial exports slowed down. In the first half of the year, the export delivery value of industrial products increased by 19.1% year-on-year, 1.8 percentage points lower than that in the first quarter, of which, the increase in April, May and June was 20.1%, 14.9%, and 16.3%, respectively. Light industry and textiles maintained a relatively rapid growth. The export delivery value of light industry and textile industry increased by 21.5% and 19.6% respectively. The export growth rate of the electronics industry is much lower than the overall growth rate of the industry. The value of export delivery in the electronics industry increased by 13.7%. Exports from the machinery industry maintained steady growth. The export value of machinery exports increased by 24.8%.

One of the industrial production in the first half of the year: Raw materials industry In the first half of 2011, the value added of the raw material industry increased by 12.8% year-on-year.

The added value of the metallurgical industry increased by 11.7%. Crude steel production was 351 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%; the average daily output was 1.94 million tons.

The non-ferrous industry increased by 12.3%. Ten kinds of non-ferrous metal production amounted to 16.9 million tons, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year; of which, refined copper and electrolytic aluminum production increased by 13.9% and 5.6% respectively.

The petrochemical industry increased by 11.2%, of which the chemical industry grew by 15.1%. Crude oil processing volume increased by 7.1% year-on-year; ethylene production increased by 17.2%; fertilizer production rose by 8.3%.

The building materials industry grew by 20.5%. Cement output and flat glass increased by 19.6% and 19.1%, respectively.

The second half of industrial production in the first half of the year: Equipment industry In the first half of 2011, the value-added of the equipment industry increased by 16.2%, which was 1.9 percentage points faster than that of all industries above designated size. According to statistics from the Automobile Industry Association, in the first half of the year, automobile production and sales volume were 9.16 million and 9.33 million, respectively, which was an increase of 2.5% and 3.4% year-on-year. Among agricultural machinery, the output of large and medium-sized tractors increased by 19.4% and 23.8% year-on-year, respectively; the output of harvesting machinery increased by 38.2%. In construction machinery, the output of excavators and loaders increased by 44% and 28.2% year-on-year, respectively; compaction machinery increased by 0.5%.

Industrial Production in the First Half of the Third Half of the Year: Consumer Products Industry In the first half of 2011, the value added of the consumer goods industry increased by 14.2% year-on-year.

The light industry grew by 15.5%. Among the main products, dairy products increased by 13.9%; machine-made paper and cardboard, furniture and plastic products increased by 14.9%, 5.1% and 18.2%, respectively.

The textile industry grew 9.9%. Among the main products, yarn, cloth, and clothing increased by 11.2%, 15.4%, and 12.5%, respectively; and chemical fiber increased by 15.3%.

The pharmaceutical industry grew by 16.8%; the production of chemical drugs and proprietary Chinese medicines increased by 26.2% and 29.6% respectively.

The tobacco industry grew by 13.5%; cigarette production increased by 4.1%.
